Hi I'm Ayesha

I'm Ayesha Alina, a practicing Counseling Psychologist with a Master's in Applied Psychology (clinical specialization).

My belief in accepting and understanding the diversity and individuality of every individual made me get into this profession. It has its ups and downs but it's an interesting experience overall. It helped me know about myself better. I'm passionate about normalizing mental health and its awareness and am working towards it.

Having 5 years of education and experience of more than 1 year, I aim:

1. To provide a non-judgemental, safe space to be heard.
2. To help people live life to their full potential by guiding them through different interventions, strategies, and techniques that I have learned throughout my training and practice.
3. To help a person become better able to independently deal with the problems of daily life and/or major life issues in a healthy manner.

I use a Humanistic approach for a good therapeutic relationship and follow the structure of CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) with the inclusion of Mindfulness, DBT (Dialectic Behaviour Therapy), and SFBT (Solution-Focused Brief Therapy). I'm currently working/getting trained in Expressive Art Therapy.

In short, my approach is holistic, evidence-based, eclectic, and tailored according to the client.

I have worked with clients dealing with:

• Anxiety
• Stress
• Relationship Issues
• Family trouble
• Anger Management
• Self-esteem/Self-confidence/Self-doubt
• Feeling low/unmotivated
• Suicidal Ideation
• Career
• Navigating 20's

When I'm not working, you'll find me:

🖤Playing with Hami (my cat), painting, crafting, writing poems, reading...
🖤I love spending time with myself.
🖤I'm a big time explorer and love to travel. If I am not traveling to a new city, I'll be exploring new places/streets in my own city.
🖤I enjoy nature and in awe with the sky.
🖤I enjoy eating yummy food and like dark chocolate.
🖤To stay fit I practice mindfulness, yoga, and different forms of workout according to my mood
🖤I like to enjoy little moments of life and keep a work-life balance.

Welcome to my page! I intend to keep it real and honest. Enjoy reading :)
